1) Ischgl
Ischgl, a quaint mountain village in the Paznaun Valley in the Tyrol, has remained a well kept secret to most yet is an area with a wide range of mountain bike trails, definitely leaning towards XC and trail riding. The town has largely gone unnoticed by mountain bike riders, but it has some extensive riding on offer with 6 lifts serving riders.
The nearest airport is Innsbruck, about an hour's drive away.

The area known as Silvretta Bike Arena is one of the largest riding areas in the Alps with over 1000 km of trails for every skill level and it is where Hans Rey spends a lot of time riding some of the finest trails in the Alps. The place has been a fixture in the biking scene for many years. From Ischgl, there is a legendary route that takes riders south across the Fimber Pass (or Fimba Pass). This is dream come true for single track riders and the most popular pass with Transalpine bikers on the Alps’ main mountain range.
There are 6 lifts are open to bikers in the summer providing a combination of gondolas and chairlifts, most are high speed. Ischgl has a huge area with lots of trails, XC paradise; quiet trails. It does not have any purpose built freeride or downhill trails and can be expensive.
