3) Leogang
Surrounded by impressive mountains the small, pretty town of Leogang is set in arnscenic location between Sell am See and St Johann, about an hours drive from the nearest airport in Salzburg. Leogang provides a good set up for all types of riders and its laid back atmosphere offers a more relaxing experience that the queues and crowds of some of the better known resorts. In addition, it is a real treat to find a town with a home from home feeling.

Since the Leogang Bikepark opened in the year 2001, it has become one of the most highly reputed bikeparks in Europe. Working closely with Kona, Leogang is one of only 11 bikeparks worldwide that have the "Kona Groove approved Bikepark“ seal.
Leogang has also joined nearby resorts and you can use the resort on an 'Austrian Gravity ticket' - the area is becoming more and more popular each year.
Leogang Bikepark has everything to offer all riders - young and old, beginners and experienced. The 8 seater cablecar takes all bikers to the start of the park and they can enjoy several trails back down to the valley.

The Leogang lift services the bikepark and has a good set up for everyone... excellent facilities for young kids with trails and coaching to suit.
DOWNHILL
The
Speedstar is the main downhill run in Leogang and contains a whole
variety of surfaces, from cambers and roots to berms and jumps. The
rest of your time will be spent playing on the many easy but fun
freeride descents such as the Flying Gangster run. Some of the
toughest lines in the woods contain huge roots and are great sections.
CROSS-COUNTRY
There
are a number of cross country routes running out from Leogang. You can
arrange to have a guide take you out onto the trails or pick up a map
and guide yourself. On a daily ride, it is possible to ride right the
way over to Saalbach and Hinterglemm and take in some of the trails in
their bike park before returning to Leogang. For an easy route, you
could do one of the skill schools on offer and take a guided ride that
will help bring your newly acquired skills into play.
FREERIDE
Leogang
mountain bike park has loads to offer the budding freerider, with the
long downhill style Flying Gangster course made up of berms, tabletops,
step ups, bridges and wooded singletrack over 2 km long. There is a 4X
course at the bottom that is 350m long and also boasts a permament
start gate.
With all the international events, Leogang is well known for it's dirt jumps. There is also a northshore area and notably a childrens learning zone or mini bike park for young children.
