Val Thorens inaugurates its new BikePark - this complex of more than 3 km is made of 4 zones and includes more than 25 modules (Gap bridges, Wall ride, Volcano box, North-shore…)
The nearest international airport to Val Thorens is Geneva 159km (there is also Chambery 112 km & Lyon 183km)
Mountain bikers can discover the huge area using the ski lifts which give an easy and fast access to the summits of the valley. The “Evasion 3 Vallées” pass gives access to all the lifts that are open in the summer and with the Vallée Multi-Activity Card, the Saint Martin, Les Menuires and Val Thorens lifts are free.
The Bike Park at Val Thorens organises competitions each week for amateur riders with some great prizes!

Possibility to go to St Martin (17kms downhill) through the Boulevard Cumin (MTB path n°16). Free shuttle to come back (timetables available et the tourist office).
Saint Martin – Les Menuires – Val Thorens is a French Cycling Federation, area with a wide range of 21 MTB itineraries covering a total of 120 km. Near the resorts and villages, on the river bank, mountain slopes or along ridges, the trails weave their way throughout the Vallée des Belleville and its crests.
Beginners
The Vallée descent, a downhill itinerary of about
20km, linking Val Thorens to Saint Martin. Return using the free
shuttle bus or the ski lifts. The tour of the Plan de l’Eau, a
pleasant circuit leaving from the Bruyères area in the Plan de l’Eau
sector, with fun modules accessible to all the family.
Intermediate
The Tougnète descent towards Saint Martin ; the Mont de la Chambre descent towards Les Menuires; The ascension of Mont de la Chambre from Val Thorens.
Advanced
The 3 Vallées circuit, a 117km circuit over the 3 Vallées
area, the Masse descent in Les Menuires, the Portette circuit in Val
Thorens.
The BikePark at Val Thorens has quite a bit to offer: Boardercross Zone - Large and faster pist, allowing to ride several bikes abreast, big banked turns, bumps, lights drops. Slope style dominant zone - A blue track, sinuous, using the elements of the relief. A red track : wall-ride, drop bridges, bridges, north-shore, bumps, banked turns. Big Air bag zone - Try a secure jump with your bike ! The landing is done on a 'shock absorbing stunt man’s' mattress. Practice park zone - Fun and educational, this zone allows you to work on your technic and discover new sensations. Modules : classical bridges, drop, skinny, banked turns, whoops. Enduro zone - Single-track using the elements of the relief. Few wooden layouts liven up the route and offer funnier or more engaged passages.
