4) Hindelang
The town of Bad Hindelang is the main tourist focus in the local region... A charming and traditional town and very laid back.
The riding in the area is split between the gravity trails in the BikePark and the XC backcountry riding through the surrounding valleys and forests. Beginners will find this a great place to ride and develop their skills.

Hindelang's bikepark does not have the glossy finish of many. It is a more rickety affair, with just the basics in place, but anyone who enjoys the rush of gravity will still have plenty of fun. The Cross Country riding through the area is very good and GPS is recommended to get the most enjoyment due to the fact that most of the map instructions are in German
DOWNHILL
There
are not really any full-on Downhill routes as the trails are really typical of other German resorts - a hybrid
between Freeride and Downhill. This is due to the rough natural paths they
follow and the man-made sections and obstacles included along the route. Hindelang is not particularly steep so is not a resort for racers but will suit newcomers to the sport and those interested in general trail riding.
FREERIDE
For the freeride sections, they use both the Downhill Trails and mountain paths but have wooden
drops and jumps built into them. The Northshore trails have
the usual skinnies, ladders and drops and the dirt jump trail is suited
to beginners to intermediates.
CROSS-COUNTRY
Hindelang has some great Cross Country riding through its 'backcountry' area. The BikePark
does not have any signed Cross Country trails, but the surroundings have some
great singletrack, which has been put together into 20 tours and is
available as a trail map or pick up a GPS at the tourist office.
