Germany
6) Todtnau
Germany's original BikePark, Todtnau is located on the Wiese river in the heart of the southern Black Forest. It is a small but well equipped town in lush surroundings.
Todtnau is the oldest bikepark in Germany, but that does not mean it is outdated. It was not until the Maxxis international series came and hosted a race here in 2003 that the place gained some recognition overseas but it was soon labelled by some of the pros racing there as one of their favourite courses with one of the biggest vertical drops in Germany.
The nearest airport to Todtnau is Bern.

DOWNHILL
Todtnau has been popular for many years because the Downhill course features man-made and perfect corners with steep
technical wooded sections as well as plenty of fast open straights on
the piste. There is one trail called the Wildride,
which is a mellower machine built downhill with some rollers and berms
which is good fun for beginners but there is not enough here for a week long visit.
CROSS-COUNTRY
There are 20 tours marked out on
the available maps in and around the surrounding area - only two of these start from Todtnau, to access the others you will
either have to ride further to the nearby villages or drive to to the
start points. GPS tours are also available from the tourist office.
