Champery WC Track 2010

The one thing that strikes you about Champery every time you arrive in town is the awe-inspiring scenery and the 'hugeness' of the mountains. Being based just less than 1hr away from Champery meant that all the recent work that Ben Walker and his tribe of builders have put in was well worth a visit for our growing possy of riders.

Pascal wins at Lac Blanc

Mickael Pascal takes the win at the first round of the French Nationals in Lac Blanc. Big news was that young ripper Loic Bruni (not even a Junior) smashed the course and finished in 9th position! Liverpool's Apposing has teamed up with Steve Peat, the reigning world champion in his field, to release what they believe is the first downhill mountain biking game app designed for the iPhone, iPod Touch and the iPad.

New World 4X track at Leogang

Guido Tschugg has been put in charge of the World Cup 4x track at Leogang. It sounds like he’s built something steeper and more technical than we’ve seen recently on the WC series.

Euro riders on Pro GRT podium

This past weekend was the first Pro GRT DH race in the states... In the women's race, Trek World Racing's UK rider, Tracy Moseley was up against a world class field and managed to edge out fellow Brit Rachel Atherton into 2nd place by more than 2 seconds on the sub 3 minute track.

Leogand replaces Schladming

Originally scheduled to take place in Schladming, Austria, the sixth round of the 2010 UCI Mountain Bike World… Cup will now take place in another Austrian resort, Leogang (Salzburger Land). The date, (June 19th and 20th) remains unchanged.

Vigo Bike Contest 2010

Looks like the local Spanish riders have split the travelling Brits for the top 10 places at Vigo's season opener. Spain's Bernet Guardia on Massi bikes took the win in 2:41.524 with Great Britains Marc Beaumont on GT Bikes in Second.
