European Championships 2010
The European Championships came alive this year as they opened their doors to all Nationalities. This meant that they got a load more entries and it really made the event - obviously non-europeans can not become European Champion - but there is still an 'open' title to be had.
Steve Peat finally takes Gold
Whoa, I can't actually believe that I am sitting here typing these words, Steve Peat is the 2009 WORLD CHAMPION. It is not that I didn't think it would happen, it is just that...well...you know, i didn't want to tempt fate. Peaty has been so close, so many times, that it has been tradition to not talk about it, but now he has it, the gold medal and those all important rainbow stripes. I'm sat typing this in the UK, waiting to hear back from the team in Oz...party on.
IXS Chatel - its Beer again!
Nick Beer took another great victory in the IXS European Downhill event held at Chatel this weekend. It was another great race from the Swiss rider after finishing 2nd in qualifying on the Saturday to New Zealander, Nathan Rankin.

FRIEDRICHSHAFEN, Germany – Yesterday, the worlds biggest bike show closed its trade days in a positive atmosphere. Three days of bike business were as usual in Friedrichshafen which means busy; better said extremely busy with packed halls, except for the new ones at the new East entrance and Foyer.

World Cup done... I've been enjoying riding my bike here and
yesterday's racing just went great. The weather held up pretty well, we
had some rain in the morning but as soon as the Downhill got underway
it dried up and Sam Hill and Sabrina Jonnier smoked the fields. It is
good to see Sam back on the top step of the podium.

Kovarik wins Avalanche Cup
First event of the MEGAVLANCHE week: the Avalanche Cup in Oz en Oisans.
The top riders were all there but Chris KOVARIK (Chain Reaction Cycles/Intense) was the fastest on the day and finished first in the Super Cup.
