Scandinavia
3) Geilo Pink Park
Like many of the Scandinavian resorts, Geilo has an almost otherworldly beauty when the light is right. It is one of the oldest winter destinations in Norway and is now turning it's hand to mountain biking.
Pink Park opened it's doors in 2005 and is slowly picking up the pace adding to its choice of trails each season. Being within close proximity of Oslo and Hafjell , it makes an ideal combination break. The Park also has a mountain cross sourse with its 6 big berms, table-tops, speed bumps, gaps and drops!
Nearest airport: Oslo (250km)

Geilo Pink Park is easy to get to with the train stopping at Geilo, it is a typical family resort with varied, but not extreme terrain. Although the park is not steep, there are obstacles to challenge intermediate riders. Overall, the park is great for beginners and children through to intermediate riders.
DOWNHILL
The
downhill Halinkast Trail hosts a round of the Norway Cup each year and
is the most challenging of the trails on the hill, featuring technical
root sections, kickers and drops.
FREERIDE
The park is laid out with the HeXe Freeride trail running down to the Pink Park slopestyle and the bicycle cross trail.
The Freeride route is designed to be ridden by everyone so is suitable
for less experienced riders and features kickers, tabletops, wallrides
and northshore.
CROSS-COUNTRY
For the Cross Country rider, there is a well produced guide book with various routes around the Geilo area.
Most of the trails are relatively easy and the book offers various
graded rides; the harder routes head up onto the shared hiking and
biking trails running along the ridgeways overlooking the national park. The ground is quite rocky and drains really well so there are no problems riding here if it has been wet.
