4) Hafjell
Through the development of the BikePark and building the Gondola - Hafjell has turned into a year round resort with a wide specter of summer activities in the lower valley and in higher terrain.
Hafjell Bike Park is renowned as the best Bike Park for downhill riding and has expanded and developed the trail network and the rider`s facilitites since last season. Some of the bike trails have a vertical drop of 830 m, varies in difficulty with jumps and drops for the ”nut balls” and easier lines for the beginners.
Nearest airport: Oslo (160km)

Snorre Pedersen is the architect of the Park, and back in 2003 he started as a pioneer, digging and constructing the NC-trail. Snorre is described as a magician with bike trails, and over the last 5 years he has designed and transformed the hills of Hafjell into a true paradise for the downhill enthusiasts. Altogether 14 lift- and gondolaserved trails are carved into the alpine wooden landscape.
This season`s novelities are basically easy trails descending through upper and lower Seterløypa. A fun and technical moderate single track goes from the top of the Gondola to the base of Chairlift 2.
The Gondola in Hafjell makes riding in Hafjell an even better experience whether you prefer downhill or x-country, and the top of the Gondola is also a perfect exit for hiking on the Øyer mountain plateau. The menu as well as the mountain view at the top restaurant are both truly worth the scenic Gondola ride.

Another great thing at Hafjell is the locker rental and bike storage. Under the Gondola there are wardrobes with showers, lockers and a seperate room where you can store away your bike safely. The storage is locked and monitored from 18.00-09-00, and you are provided with a separate lock.
After a day on the trails you can put the bike in the storage, have a shower and head for after-bike at Woody`s and Ryk & Reis!
