3) Kanin
This is the only mountain BikePark in Slovenia that is open for mountain bike enthusiasts every day of the year! Situated near the town of Bovec, the BikePark is at a relatively low altitude (470m) - but the lift in the summer at the BikePark goes to just over 1000m. Kanin benefits from a strong influence of warm Mediterranean air.
The BikePark opened in the 2003 and has since attracted riders of all abilities, providing interesting trails for any avid mountain biker. The BikePark is divided into three sections of varying difficulty, so beginners are able to ride around the last and most demanding part on a dirt road.
The upper and middle part of the park are suitable for everybody and include several "North shore" style features (ladders, jumps, bridges,.) and several fast and technical sections. There is a very high standard of rider here, but the resort is still pretty much unknown, so you get lots of space!
Kanin is open all year round, in the winter and spring months you can snowboard in the morning and MTB in the afternoon!

4,5 km of downhill with an altitude difference of 600m
FREERIDE
The top section is growing all the time with jumps, ladders and bridges being added to year on year. This park is Europes best kept secret.
CROSS-COUNTRY
The dirt road setion at the end could be classed as cross-country, however as a river runs through the valley, there is an awsome cross country path following the edge of it. Lifts from down the valley back up to Bovec are avaialble with prior booking
