12) Scuol
Scuol is a small town in the Engadin Valley, a peaceful unspoilt corner of Switzerland. It is a quiet resort, but one that has had mountain bike trails longer than any of the other Swiss resorts, with it's first trails being added in 1997.
The town hosts a deluxe spa where you can unwind and recharge your batteries surrounded by stunning scenery. A popular venue of the IXS Swiss race series that is quiet the rest of the season.

While Scuol does not have bags of trail, it does feature some great traditional touring style Cross Country and some technical singletracks, as well as some quality Downhill runs that have gained a solid underground following amongst some of the European seasonaires who make trips over to Scuol to session the trails in this picturesque quiet valley with no queues and unspoilt trails.
DOWNHILL
The Downhill track in Scuol was featured on the "Illusionary Lines"
DVD being shredded to pieces by Chris Kovarik. It is a fast
singletrack with countless switchbacks, some tech wooded sections and
plenty of drops and jumps along it's route. They are long runs too in
the region of 10 minutes from top to bottom. Swiss rider Claudio
Calouri helped design the routes and is his local spot.
FREERIDE
Whilst Scuol does not have any Freeride trails or BikePark area, the black downhill route does feature some drops and jumps.
CROSS-COUNTRY
There
are a number of Cross Country routes available, either on a map or
downloadable for GPS units for the easier option, as well as several
marked trails. The highlight of the area is the organized four day tour from Scuol across the national park to Livigno in Italy and back.
