Sitting right beneath one of the world's most iconic mountains, the Matterhorn, Zermatt is one of the wintersports world's major players.
Alpine history seeps from every part here and the town buzzes with mountaineers, tourists and more recently an increasing number of mountain bikers. The town is impressive, with the Matterhorn looking over the village. Zermatt has incredible views, a large riding area, a cosmopolitan town and a mixture of modern and victorian lift facilities.

There are several lifts open to bikes in the Zermatt and Matter valley, up to 9 lifts can be used to access the longer rides and return journeys with awesome and inspiring views.

typically not a Downhill venue, Zermatt does offer some great natural
Downhill runs around the town but does not offer any freeride trails or BikeParks.
